Stormy weather will disrupt trick-or-treating plans for much of the Midwest and Northeast, and Detroit will not be exempt.
Despite warm temperatures in the 60s, periods of rain will plague the city beginning Wednesday and will continue through Friday.
As rains become steady throughout Wednesday evening, winds will also pick up the pace.
Halloween day will be the warmest day of the week with a high of 68 degrees but a thunderstorm will haunt the area, potentially delaying trick-or-treating plans.
Halloween night will be accompanied by rain and gusty winds. Winds will blow through the city from the south with gusts up to between 20 and 30 mph.
These winds have the potential to knock over Halloween decorations, trashcans and other yard trinkets.
The city will also experience a temperature drop throughout Halloween night as the night's low reaches down to 52 degrees. Temperatures in the 50s will stay for the rest of the week.
The rain will die down for the first day of November on Friday but spotty showers will be prominent along with cloudy skies.

Friday will be cool and breezy with a high temperature of 56 degrees.
Heading into the weekend, breezy winds will persist. Saturday will be cloudy with a few showers possible in spots.
For those looking to head outdoors this weekend, despite the chilly air, sunshine will return to the city on Sunday.
