Cold Through Black Friday Around Pittsburgh

In the wake of the recent winter storm to affect Pittsburgh, cold weather will stick around into the weekend.
Bands of lake-effect snow and flurries will occur around the region into Thanksgiving Day. Motorists should be on the lookout for icy spots and brief blinding snow.
Any areas that were wet recently can become icy as colder air moves in.
Much of the time from Thanksgiving Day through Sunday will be free of snow.

Blustery conditions are forecast to ease by Black Friday, but for folks waiting in line early in the morning, temperatures will be in the teens to the lower 20s, which is 10 to 15 degrees below average for the date.
Highs Saturday and Sunday are projected to be near 40 degrees.

I'm leaving for NYC later this AM for Thanksgiving...not a perfect drive weather-wise, but much better along I-80 than it could be.
