Boston: No Signs of Lasting Warmth Just Yet

The weather pattern through this weekend will bring temperatures fairly typical for this time of the year around Boston.
Temperatures typically range from a morning low in the middle 40s to a high near 60 F.
Interior locations of New England can expect a freeze Wednesday night.
After a cold start, temperatures will recover to near 60 Thursday afternoon. However, a gusty wind will add a chill to the air.

The next chance of rainfall is Friday night into Saturday, as a system moves in from the Midwest. However, while there can be a couple of showers and a thunderstorm, a total washout on Saturday is not likely.

Looking ahead, for folks with outdoor plans next week, the weather pattern has the potential to get very unsettled with a daily dose of showers and/or thunderstorms.
A day or two of rain is also possible as a large storm develops over the eastern third of the nation and stalls. The pattern may also result in a several-day stretch of below-normal temperatures.
It may not be until this large storm breaks down during early May, when warmth is a frequent visitor to the region.
Thunderstorms during Wednesday morning caused damage in Cranston, R.I., and lightning may have struck a person at a golf course in Lexington, Mass., multiple sources said.
