Several rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms across the Midwest and
northern Mississippi Valley led to widespread river flooding in April of
2013. Flood warnings were issued from Michigan and Wisconsin southward
into Arkansas and Tennessee. Five fatalities were linked to the
flooding.
