The World Cup action is heating up in the Round of 16 play as the United States is set to face Belgium on Tuesday.
While a soaking rain -- similar to what occurred prior to the match in Recife on Thursday -- is not expected leading up to the match, a shower or downpour is still possible.
AccuWeather.com meteorologists will be closely monitoring the weather forecast for the big match Tuesday, as the weather in this part of Brazil can quickly change from dry and sunny to a downpour in minutes.
At this time, AccuWeather.com meteorologists expect sunshine to mix with clouds during the afternoon with an increased threat for showers by the evening. Any of these showers can produce brief downpours which may impact the match.

While play should not be interrupted, any rainfall, especially a downpour, could impact the strategies and outcome of the match.
The greatest threat for rainfall will hold off until later Tuesday night, after the match has ended.
If the showers pass by Salvador during the match, the weather will still have an impact as the combination of heat and humidity will prove daunting for the players involved.
Temperatures will rise to near 80 F (27 C) during the match and combined with high dew points, it will feel it is in the lower 90s F (32-33 C).

A much different weather story will play out for the Germany vs. Algeria match on Monday in Porto Alegre. About 2 inches (50 mm) of rain has fallen in the area since Saturday and more is expected through the day on Monday.
During this match, some rain and drizzle can be expected and a cool breeze out of the northwest will make players and fans grab their rain gear and jackets. Temperatures will hover in the upper 50s F (14-15 C) throughout the match.

The France vs. Nigeria match on Monday will have sunny conditions with a light breeze and temperatures rising into the lower 80s F (upper 20s C).
Dry and seasonable weather is also expected for the Argentina and Switzerland match on Tuesday in Sao Paulo.
As always, AccuWeather.com will keep you updated with the latest weather information involving the matches of the World Cup in Brazil.
