Minneapolis: Mostly Sunny, Chances of Storms Ahead

Minneapolis will have sunshine and slightly below-average temperatures continue on Wednesday before pop-up storms move into the region on Thursday and Friday.
Slightly cooler than normal for this time of year, temperatures on Wednesday should hover near the 80 F mark. Normal averages for this time of year are closer to 83 F.

Temperatures will not reach near the record high for this week of 105 F set in 1988.

Overnight temperatures will follow the same trend reaching near the 60 F mark, roughly 4 degrees lower than normal.
Skies will be mostly sunny with partly cloudy night skies. Sunshine will only be interrupted as the possibility of afternoon thunderstorms move in towards the end of the week.
Enjoyable weather conditions will persist throughout the weekend, with mostly sunny and comfortable conditions and highs around 85 F on Saturday and Sunday.
