A gradual cooling trend is also expected through the week. By Thursday, highs will be in the low 70s and upper 70s along the coast and downtown, respectively.
It will be beautiful baseball weather as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Los Angeles Dodgers continue their pennant runs in the first week of September.
