Chicago will see a brief break from stormy weather on Sunday, although it will be warm and humid with highs around 84 F.
Heat and humidity will continue to build into the new week, as highs return to the 90s.
In fact, Monday will be the city's first 90-degree day in more than a month. The last 90-degree reading came on July 22. Monday will also see the return of afternoon thunderstorms.
The humidity, along with the chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected to last through midweek, although temperatures are expected to drop slightly by Wednesday, with highs in the mid-80s.

Overnight lows will remain in the low 70s through Tuesday.
Due to the threat for storms, the three-game series between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians at U.S. Cellular Field could see weather delays.
