Cool, rainy weather will continue to dampen the Minneapolis area through the week before sunshine returns for the weekend.
"A breezy day in store for Minneapolis on Tuesday with some sunshine giving way to increasing clouds," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.

Highs will be close to average, in the middle 60s.
"A couple of showers move in Tuesday night with a cold front approaching," he said.
"This front and a series of disturbances will keep showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through Wednesday."

Highs on Wednesday will reach the upper 60s. Clouds and a few showers will linger into Thursday before cooler air moves in for Friday and the weekend.
Highs by Friday will struggle to reach the upper 50s with a shower possible, he added.
"Saturday and Sunday will feature increasing amounts of sunshine, but it will be cool with highs in the upper 50s both days," Edwards said.
